These are the records of my trips around Shikoku. I walked the entire pilgrimage in the Spring of 1999, including the 88 main temples and the 20 bangai temples. I am in the process of walking the henro michi again, but this time am walking through one prefecture per year over four years. I visited all of the temples in Tokushima Prefecture in Spring 2005, stopping at Bangai Temple 4. In Spring 2006 i restarted at Bangai Temple 4 and continued through Kōchi Prefecture to Temple 39. In 2007 i walked through Ehime Prefecture, stopping at Temple 65. During my next trip, i'll complete the walk once again by starting at Temple 65, walking through Temple 88 and Bangai 20, and then closing the circle by returning to Temple 1.
