WHERE TO SLEEP
There are several very important questions to have in mind when seeking 'good' nojuku shelter for the night; I list them below in no particular order.
Is there privacy?
Is there shelter from rain?
Water and toilet available?
Electrical outlet for charging phones, lap-tops, cameras, etc?
Is it a clean place?
Is it safe from intruders, both animal and human?
Mosquitoes?
Is it a scenic, beautiful place?
Will I make someone angry if I sleep here?
Am I trespassing?
Is the ground comfortable to lay upon?
Can I dry my clothes after washing?
These are all important considerations. When one is doing nojuku, one thinks constantly of these questions throughout the day. Of course the priorities vary from Henro-san to Henro-san, but theses are all matters to take into account.
