--Academic Discussions of Pilgrimage Theory and Practice--

After my walk, i met with several local scholars for a serious academic discussion ;-) of pilgrimage theory and practice as found in modern day Japan. As you can see in the pictures above, it was held at one of the most widely respected temples on the island.
